Currently looking at Canon Vixia's but I wanted to see what the hive thought.

p.s. a mic input is a requirement.

I use Canon for my video cameras. I've always been happy with them.

Actually now I'm beginning to lean towards the white no memory model and use the extra budget for a spare battery and memory (If I can't find a mem card I already own.)

I think that would be a smarter choice since sd cards are so cheap now. Just picked up a 32gig class 10 samsung card for $19 from amazon.

Yup I pulled the trigger on the no memory one and put the extra budget towards another battery.
