BCM is happy to announce that the BCM KMR-13 and KMR-10 handguards are now available for sale as individual components and as complete upper receiver groups. The KMR represents the lightest modular handguard currently on the market. Weighing in at just 7.7 oz (including the handguard and all mounting hardware) the KMR-13 is built from a exclusive blended aluminum-magnesium alloy and features a proprietary finish originally developed for the Aerospace industry. The finish is created via a plasma deposition process that creates a stabilized ceramic-like surface coating with superior wear when compared to anodize or even hard chrome. The stabilized nature of the coating means it has a higher corrosion resistance as well, due to the lack of ‘pores’ in the surface. The BCM KMR also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions. As all new BCM (Bravo Company MFG, Inc.) products the KMR has been tested and evaluated by; http://www.bravocompanymfg.com/gunfighters/ Complete Upper Receiver Groups http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Upper-Receiver-Groups-with-KeyMod-KMR-s/174.htm |

I picked up a KMR 13 last Sunday, I went to the LGS to get a NSR for my latest build but when the guy said check this out that just came in it blew the NSR away.
Can't wait to finish this build up. |

Love my 14.5" midlength KMR upper, but wish I could get the 11.5" "SBR" version and the BCM comp is great as well.
ETA: A lot of people are holding out for BFH barrels, but I dont mind a standard barrel at all after filthy 14. Whoring her out some more. 7.4 lbs unlaoded with everything in photo and probably closer to 7.1 lbs, but I have batteries stashed in grip and Larue mount. |

We showed one of the first BCM's KeyMod at Shot in our booth. It's incredibly light weight and was a huge draw for good reason when placing heavy NVD's on ones platform. In these cases the weight savings is huge for us and our customers.
BCM hit yet another home run with their latest offering! Vic Di Cosola |

Now I have to buy my wife and daughter a new upper!

Damn that is beautiful. Is it .308 compatible? Sorry but this version is not. Thanks Wonder if this rail will work on the new DPMS GII 308 since it seems to have much more compatibility with standard AR stuff. Looks very nice. Will have to add it to a new build soon. |

From my understanding any ar15 rail will work if a special barrel nut is made. |

I need to delete the internet. This would be a great swap out for my 10'' C4 rail. Anyone want a C4 rail on the cheaps let me know lol.

Probably have to blast it before you can, but I would like to know this as well because I have been drooling over this rail since this morning. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I really like this rail, got to see the new lightweight carbine from BCM that was sent out to MI for T&E a month or so ago. Felt great, and mounted on a really nice weapon. Can't wait until they are out-I normally don't buy a complete AR from anyone but I'll have one of these when they become available.....

|
I'd like to know the inside diamter of the rail....whether or not a .30 cal suppressor can be recessed.....
|
|
Can anybody chime in on what the interior diameter is? I wasn't able to dig up the specs on the BCM site.
Thanks **** edit **** I like you train of thought Soonerman. You read my mind. |

I'd like to know if the 10" model stops at T39 or somewhere close.
I have a 10.5" upper that may be getting retrofitted from a DD MFR to this. Thank you BCM. |
|
Maybe I missed it, but how is it installed. Proprietary barrel nut, etc..?

Glad to see these finally available as individual components. I need a 10" keymod rail for an 11.5" upper. I've a few NSRs already but a NSR9 is the closest thing that would work for my application, but I'll have too much barrel past the rail for my taste. Have been looking at the Geissele SMR MK4 all keymod 9.5, just wish it was a bit longer. I've been considering the KAC URX4. What does the KMR offer over the URX? Based on what's on the market now, those are the top two contenders for me at this time.

Thank you very much for all your interest and feedback.
A 9" and a 15" are in the works for this summer. We also have a Vertical Grip-S in the works that is set up for direct KeyMod™ QD attachment. That mold is getting texture, so maybe another month it will be ready. It is super slick! Here is a video review done by TWANGnBANG. It is very thorough and does show the install. It is a excellent comprehensive video. TWANGnBANG Video Review of Bravo Company's KMR Also, a PDF of the installation instructions at this link. http://www.bravocompanymfg.com/downloads/kmr_installation_instructions.pdf Not sure on Cerakoating yet. Please never blast off "all" the finish. The finish also gives the rail strength (much like hard coat anodizing). The finish is a two part system. The base is clear and is the actual protective layer and then a second finish (black) is applied for cosmetics. So maybe a very light blast just to dust off the black coating prior to painting? We are going to be doing some testing here as time allows. The KMR10 actually measures 10-3/8" on the top rail. Thank you again to everyone for their interest and feedback! |

Well, I saw the 10" version only lasted a day in stock. When do you guys think you will be back in stock?

Does this mean that I shouldn't get the 10" version to use on a 10.5" barrel that I will be sticking an AAC 51T brakeout on to use with a 762SDN6 suppressor? Should I wait for the 9" version to come out? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Should I wait for the 9" version to come out? My thoughts exactly. I'm also looking to change one of my 10.5"'s with a DD 9" Lite Rail to a BCM KMR. I'm also using the AAC brakeout with a SD N6. Looks like I'll wait for the 9" version. |

I have a similar question...
I am looking at building an SBR and using a KX-5 for the muzzle. I am looking for a barrel length and handguard that will end up with the end of the hand guard covering most of the KX-5. I was looking at 10.5" barrels. With the KX-5, the total length might be 12.7" - 13.0" So I do not know if the 13" rail would work out the way I want it to... Any input?
