Test fired my 604 yesterday. I need to change a few things on it such as the stock. Shot really good but not very lefty friendly.

Military used to have a clip/clamp on brass deflector for lefty use on the M16/M16a1.
Never very widely used/issued.

Brownell's has a version though.

What's wrong with the stock, too short/long?

eta: it looks nice!

It needs an earlier model to be correct and dimpled take down pin and safety.

Looks similar to the case deflector we used on our Air Force firing line.

I'm not a lefty so never needed to use one, but the deflector from John Masen looks a lot like the ones I remember from my early Army days.

I think that I like this one better than the Brownells.

That looks exactly like the originals.  Sven from Manticore was awesome and sent me one for my converted SP1.  The wife is wrong handed and I put it to use when she shoots.

I’ve managed to tune my rifles to eject at 3:00 so I don’t think it’s really necessary.  If you use that site, report back on what you get.  For that price, I’ll pick up a few more.

I'm a lefty and found that trimming the ejector spring helps with keeping the brass from hitting me in the face.

Good to know, thanks.. We never had them in the Air Force or Air Guard. Always put us I'm thinking on the left hand side of the firing line.
