View Quote Never received the package. Called Lowe's this afternoon and explained what happened. They said they could send another shipment out asap. Fast-forward 3 hours and the delivery arrives. FedEx driver doesn't know crap about it supposedly being delivered yesterday. Now I'm on the phone with Lowes to tell them the package arrived and to cancel the new shipment. Fucking FedEx, UPS and USPS suck balls. |

Thanks for the heads up on the deal. Bought 6 boxes of screws for upcoming construction projects. They don’t go bad so now is the time to hoard ??

Any clues as to why it shows up as 49.98 for me?
Nevermind, figured it out. |

Got mine, not building a deck but I like these for securing fence boards and miscellaneous other projects. I got a lot of those.
Thanks Op |

Got 6 boxes of three inch and 4 boxes of two and a half. I will eventually use them, but it might take a while.
Thanks OP. |

I need to rebuild my front porch and steps, these will come in handy if I use wood. I was wanting to use synthetic decking and clips.

I went ahead and ordered another box this time the 2.5", last day to place an order. Now I just have to search for a good deal on lumber.

Quoted: I picked up 1 of each. Thanks a lot for the heads up ! View Quote Picked up one of each as well. If you switched your order to pick up in store, they gave you $10 off your next $20 purchase. Since I'm there often, I did that and saved an extra $10. This place always costs me. Even if I need the stuff. Lots of things to build now! |

It's the 30th where I am and the deal is dead. Maybe you West Coast fellas can still get in on the action for a few more minutes?

Quoted: That is very weird, I placed my second order yesterday and it just showed up today just 20 min ago. View Quote Spent 43 minutes on the fone with them. Said since any store near me out of stock they canceled it. Said since they canceled the order after the sale was over they would not honour the sale price if I tried to re order. Also when asked if they would ship from another store in stock out of state they said no we don't do that. The Vestal NY store had them along with the philly store and they are unwilling to ship or do store pickup to my local store from either location. Store pick up was never a option to start only home delivery. Bassically said to bad you ain't getting your deck screws. But ya are getting screwed. And ya lowes lost a customer there is a home depot across the street from them and 3 ace hardware stores even closer then both lowes or HD. So in arfcom fashion fuck lowes. Now we all get to have a good laugh at this 1st world problem lol |

Quoted: Absolutely! The only alternative to the screws would be ring shank nails. But if you want the structural aspect to last, ALWAYS use screws in exterior applications. These are far better than dealing with pre-drilling for Phillips screws (which strip easily) or bent nails. |

When I built my deck I had over $350 worth of screws in it and maybe 30 nails total. |

Mine finally showed up after a very circuitous route and were busted up. Dont really care but the box looks like fedex tossed it down the stairs and aomehow ended up with spare parts for something.

One of my cases was cracked and I had some loose ones rolling around inside the box. No big deal.
I'm guessing there was a shipping container that tipped over which is why they sold them so cheap. I'm good with it. Just used about 40 of them yesterday. |
