INTRODUCTION TO PISTOL

This 4 hour course is for those who have never had formal handgun training- or those who need a refresher. It’s the first step toward developing the ability to defend yourself and your family with a handgun. The focus is on safe handling and basic operation of the pistol.

Firearms safety (general, home, and range) | Relative GA/ FL law | Types of pistols (semi-automatic and revolver) | Handgun and holster selection | Basic gun handling and operation | Loading and unloading/ clearing | Introduction to shooting fundamentals

PREREQUSITIES

NONE. Reading the manual for your firearm is encouraged, though.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Quality semi-automatic pistol with at least 1 magazine | Ear and eye protection (we have both available for use, but you may be more comfortable with your own) | Notepad and pen | Approximately 30 rounds
