I recently saw someone who currently has a post safe act AR15 with a detachable magazine and a pistol grip. I'm pretty sure it's a no-no, correct? It's an S&W AR15 and they said it was sold to them with the pistol grip in the box and they simply installed it themself. This doesn't sound legit, does it??

Unless the buyer is exempt (LEO) you are only allowed one (1) evil feature which is the detachable magazine.

Which means it cannot be sold in NY unless to an "exempt" individual.

It just reinforces that a real criminal intent on doing harm won't even be slowed down by all these cosmetic restrictions.
