Has anybody here built their own rifle receiver for personal use? I know someone who expressed their interest in doing so. It's good federally, so it should be GTG in NYS too.

There is a bill floating around requiring you to put a serial number on home made guns and give photos to the NYSP

Do these hypothetical people get the bare receivers cerakoted, or do they get anodized 80s and leave the newly exposed metal as is?
