Stretz Tactical - Force On Force Concealed Carry in Putnam County, NY Sunday, March 12 at 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Location:
Paladin Center
39 Seminary Hill Rd Carmel, New York 10512

COST: $215 (All Simunitions/UTM pistols, simunition/UTM ammunition, magazines, holsters, mag pouches & protective gear will be provided as part of the cost of the course.)

Force on force training using simunitions and UTM marking cartirdges will help you bridge the gap in your training between your range training and real world violent encounters.

Live fire range training is an important foundation in defensive firearms training. But if your looking to reach the next level in your training, this class is a must. This reality based force on force training brings you as close as you can get to real life lethal force encounters.

You will be given an overview of simunitions & UTM pistols & conversion kits, protective gear & a brief on combat mindset, as well as what to do before, during & after a lethal force encounter. Also the concept of avoiding a fight will be explored. Then we will move quickly into full on scenarios, where your ability to handle scenarios based on real life encounters will be put to the test using either a Glock 17T Gen 4 Simunitions pistol, a Glock 23 gen 3 converted for simunitions or a Sig Sauer P226 Simunition Pistol. We also have 1 conversion kit for the M9 Beretta

All Simunitions/UTM pistols, simunition/UTM ammunition, magazines, holsters, mag pouches & protective gear will be provided as part of the cost of the course.

this may be a stupid question considering it says "must have a pistol permit" but...

I would like to attend a class like this but i do not have a pistol permit, is there no way i can attend without it? I have average range training behind a pistol and have taken practical rifle courses so I am an experienced person with firearms. Not sure if that would make any difference at all but might aswell include it

Short answer "NO".  These are real guns that are modified (some at the factory and some not) so in NY the silly laws prevent you from "possessing" a handgun without a permit.

Hi Ken,
I wanted to get some more information regarding this FOF, I wanted to ask how many scenarios would someone get to actively participate as a defender during the day, will there be combatant and non-combatant actors role playing for the participants to interact with or will the participants have to switch off playing the different roles, and during a scenario how many rounds/reloads will be allowed for each participant.
Thanks Chris

Hi Chris,

We have 10 scenarios set for the class.  But it all depends on the class, how many get done.  Since everyone reacts differently, scenarios play out differently.  That makes them longer or shorter depending on the student.  The first class we did, we stayed late and did I think 7 scenarios.  The second class we adjusted some things and did 6 and got out on time.  We limit the class size to minimize down time, but down time is part of most force on force or live fire shoot house classes I have ever been to as a student.  It is kind of unavoidable - without making the class to pricey to pay for more role players.  The Paladin Center staff are great and for like $20 additional they had people run the use of force simulator (It is like the FATS machine).  That helped fill some down time.

To answer your question - not everyone you meet needs to get shot  The students don't usually act as role players.  We have our own role players.  We encourage people to not load up like the are on dismounted patrol in Baghdad.  Everyone is issued 2 magazines.  10 rounds for civilians and 15 for LEO.  If you normally carry a gun that only holds 6 or 7 rounds, then our suggestion is to download the mags to your normally CCW capacity.  Gaming scenarios wont help you in the street.  We also try not to let things turn in to a paintball match - which is common in force on force.

Hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Stay Safe!

Ken
