My wife took a retail job in Fort Myers FL and the kicker is its 10k more than shes making here in ny go figure...

She starts June 6th so the joys of looking for a place to stay etc...

Well we will see how long my kids will be staying in NY already hearing is there room for me hahah.. We told them yep tell us when you want to move and we will put the house up for sale in NY ..

I hope they tell me soon

than i can be completely rid of this shit hole communist state.. .

Ill post pics of freedom when settle in.

Congratulations. Im ending up about a hour north of Ft Meyers. Few more years. Check out Cecil Webb shooting area . Its right off I75. If you take Tamiami trail north its one gunshop after another. If you fish Boca Grande is the place. Enjoy your freedom.

Congrats to you - my wife and I are a month out from relocaition to free America- Arizona ! Our worst case scenario is 50k a year more than our current wave with lower taxes and cost of living- so close I can taste it.

3 weeks and a day here... Wife was offered more money in a state that according to the tax foundation $1.00 is equal to $1.14. We are figuring a 25k raise between the taxes and cost of living at a minimum.

Lots of good dining down there too. ate at some place just off the causeway to Sanibel. (mainland side) Best seafood I've had in years.

Good luck. Too damn hot and humid for me there but lots of family has lived in Naples, Ft. Myers and now Port Charlotte. Lots of good stores around and I shot at "shoot straight" . There are some nice "tactical" stores there too. I was drooling over a 300 blk sbr with a can in one store. The guys in there could not believe the laws in NY and what we had to put up with - and this was pre-SAFE.

My gf's company let her keep her NY salary when she transferred to their local GA office. With cost of living difference it was like her getting a 40% raise.

i lived in West Palm in the mid 90s should have never came the hell back.

Thanks guys it wasnt my first choice for sure .

I really liked GA much better but I'm fearing Layoffs at my job at some point and it will catch up too me at some point. My wife making what she makes we could live off it..

Ill be looking for a cabin in Northwest Ga for sure after my house sells in NY. Kids are already starting to ask about moving so. I betting a year or two and all three will be south..

Daughter already applied for 12 jobs in Ga already.

so i can see she will be gone hopefully before the end of year just leaving me my two boys here.

I feel for all of you behind the lines.. It sucks in NY and longer. I'm just really glad ill be gone but ill never forgot you guys behind here for sure..

My countdown is now under 30 days with hitting the road on 6/22/16. Will take several days of driving to get to the new digs in central Arizona- constitutional carry no mag restrictions relatively easy class 3, higher wage lower tax better weather- what took me so long?
