State I graduated HS only a few years ago from a public school on Long Island. Not only did we have a riflery team, that shot and competed weekly, the school actually had a 15m indoor range that was only converted into a dance studio for the girls a few years before I was there. guns were a total non issue at my school, My riflery instructor was also my football coach and by my sophmore year on the team he gave me my own key to the gun locker, so I could start setting everything up and staging all our gear since we didnt leave for mitchell field until about 430 or so. Just goes to show how different things can be from town to town. Also I would kill for the oppurtunity to buy the anshutz that I got to shoot in HS. I am positive that the rifle either belonged to my coach or that they school had them in his name and once he retired he either kept them or just buried them in a storage closet somewhere. I've dont everything short of hiring an investigator to track him down now that hes gone to see about being able to buy that gun from somone. it. was. perfect. |

holy crap... a NY superintendent who actually understands a PHOTO of a gun is not dangerous?
Superintendent Stephen Tomlinson told WTEN the photo does not violate the district’s policy against weapons.
“She is not holding the gun in a malicious manner,” he said. “She is not pointing it anywhere. It’s to me, in my opinion, a nice photograph of a young lady in the Adirondack region that enjoys hunting.” |
