But when we do get our arguments heard, what is the real chances of getting anything overturned! I had a very positive outlook in the beginning, knowing how illegally the SAFE ACT was passed, but going on the 2 year mark, and with Cuomo's Reelection, I really find it hard to stay positive and doubt we will ever see it go even back to the way it was before! Even then, we were still living by NYS adoption of the 1994 Clinton AWB! If Hillary Clinton runs and get elected as POTUS in 2016! She would totally wipe her ass with our second amendment, and flush it down the toilet! And everyone who will say the NRA will never let that happen, well guess what? Obama just gave amnesty to more illegals, then there are members of the NRA! I just cannot believe we have let this wonderful country get shit on buy a bunch of left winged, liberal, rights infringing, socialist! I think we are starting to see the destruction of a Democracy! The government is trying to control everything, this is the beginning of a socialist government! We live in a society, where our legal rights are infringed, and we protest and sign petitions, and get laughed at! But a Thug gets shot trying to possibly shoot an officer, and they protest and burn a damn town down!

That's where you're wrong.  God gave men the natural right of self-defense.  Arms (which includes guns) are a means to that end.  No government may give or take away your natural right to self-defense.  The Founders recognized this, and placed restrictions on the government that the government may never infringe upon the right to keep and bear arms.

We have seen a national trend toward recognition of 2A rights.

in CA and IL we were surprised that appellate ruled in favor of 2A rights.    I suspect that at that level, to some degree, they don't want to look like ass when it gets to SCOTUS.

Is the appellate court in this case wanting to look stupid, or are they going to sharpen up?    This is, after all, NY and the corruption in courts is rampant.   Those poor judges have to decide whether to bite the hand that feeds them or risk looking like retards when Scalia hammers them.   Which call will they make?

Unfortunately I think the 2nd circuit knows that SCOTUS will never hear another "real" gun case ever again...so the corrupt NY judges don't care how badly they rule.

Scalia is waiting for this one.   But he has to judge if he can get a proper decision.   If SCOTUS refuses it's only because Scalia cannot ensure a proper decision.   Better no decision than a bad decision.

I just looked it up, I believe he was the first LEGAL slave owner! Despite this, Johnson was not technically a slave, as most think of it.  He was simply required to serve the farmer for a time in exchange for room and board.  However, like slaves, indentured servants could be sold or lent out to someone else, and, for the most part, they could be punished how those that owned their contracts saw fit.
