Global Trade magazine listed 10 categories for global trade, with the top 10 cities for each.

And, of those 100 cities,  NOT ONE is in NYS.

Despite having a border with our largest national trade partner, shipping via two great lakes, sea access with a major port, lots of fresh water, NY COULDN'T EVEN MAKE IT IN A LIST OF 100.

That's 36 states and DC that make the list of best cities for global trade.

NY is apparently one of the 14 states that don't have a city that ranks has a superior environment for global trade.      Even Wyoming has a city on the list.

Way to go, NYS Economic Development!

We're more into domestic production of yogurt.

At one time, Rochester, NY and Monroe Country where it is located was the fifth largest exporting entity on the planet.

Actually, it was fifth largest in USA.   But close enough.

Now we have tax-free zones in schools.   Corpus Christi TX has an incubator program in conjunction with Texas A&M and in early 2014 they had twenty-two MANUFACTURING clients.    Think Cuomo's tax-free school zone deal will do that?  I think not.

Greater Omaha generated 4,500 new JOBS in 2013.   Rochester?  Hrmph.

Face it, upstate is geographically IDEAL for international trade and manufacturing.   Like Detroit.   And just like Detroit, NYS can thank one group of assclowns for destroying the economy- the democratic politicians.

Democrats and Republicans both parties are good for shit...

We could learn so much from children's stories.  Remember "The Emperor's New Clothes"?

The NYS emperor and his henchmen claim that there is no economic problem, that SAFE is good, and the RINOs fall into line lest they be described as dumb and incompetent.   The people fall in line, agreeing that NYS's "new clothes" look great, despite the fact that we can all see that there is nothing there.

Sadly, in the fairytale version a young child has the guts to note that the clothing is false and that the populace are mislead, but in NY where the deception has been made public the majority of the people still concur that the fabric is grand.


The NYS RINOs actually COULD do a good job, but can't.   So they fall in line with the communists to save their jobs.

Cuomo is sort of like the former Iraqi Foreign Minister under Saddam:  "And I tell you, the Americans are nowhere near, and they will never capture Baghdad..."  except that here, like you said, people actually believe his BS.
