Mayor and School board stuff.

I voted yesterday.

Plano--Lili Bao or Douglas Reeves would be better than RINO Harry Rosiliere as mayor.

Rylander, Ricciardelli, Acklin,  Smith, Moses and  Powell are the more conservative ones I looked up.

I voted against all the bond proposals.

Whatever your choices, get out there and cast your vote.

Would be ballot overload during statewide or national elections.
Most local elections are "nonpartisan".
Local elections do not have primaries.
Adding additional ballot positions means longer lines at the polls.

Odd, as I never felt ballot overloaded in the other 7 states I voted in only in November.

They would likely get overshadowed by the larger elections...but then they would also have more folks voting. The typical straight-ticket voter might have a hard time. Pretty common for the local elections to be this time of year.

The cynic in me says it's because the local pols know they would get hammered because turn out is much higher in Nov elections.  When I've looked at the stats for May elections is has been significantly lower that Nov elections.

With the way conservatives turned out for the Nov elections do you really think any of the insane bond proposals would pass.  I mean does PISD really need another 600 million when they are claiming their population will start declining in a few years?

<----PISD teacher

Huh? There's not one this year, the $481 million last year was the first bond in eight years. It didn't raise the tax rate and kept PISD the 2nd lowest of any school district in Collin County.

I think you mean the $600 million bond for Collin County Community College District, not PISD.
