Anyone know of any legit pistol or carbine courses resonably close to Houston? A couple of us are looking and aren't real plugged in as to who is teaching garbage and who is actually teaching nowadays.  Even if it's IPSC style instruction, we'd enjoy that too.

KR Training offers great training of all different levels. KR Training is not far from Houston right off 21 just north of 290. Karl Rehn and his crew are great instructors.

Blackwood Shooting Academy , Blackwood Gun Club in Conroe.

Next Defensive Carbine class is Saturday, May 13th.  Also offer Handgun 1, 2, and 3, as well as Defensive Shotgun. 

All public classes take place Saturday's, 8 am to Noon and are $60.  See the calendar for dates.

I did a couple of their classes a few years ago.  Really enjoyed them and learned a lot.

360 Tactical's classes were pretty enjoyable.
Also
Spring guns and ammo has a few carbine classes that are pretty easy to get jnto
