I do have one question: Would this have been different if the Chief Joel Fitzgerald were white?  As in, would the crowd in that public meeting have been as accepting and calm, or would they have ended up out in the street, buring cars?

Without the publicity, I would agree that he should not have been suspended.

He did actively contributed to the escalation, when he should have been trying to do The opposite.

..,but Once it hit social media and there were protests, many cities would have terminated him, opening the door to civil, if not criminal charges against the officer.

The chief and council did much better for this  officer than many others have done in the last couple of years.

Definitely shouldn't be fired, but cops can't be assholes anymore and not expect to be held accountable for it.   Cops should just assume that they're always on video and act accordingly.
