Going to breakfast tomorrow morning, I know there are places like IHOP and Denny's, what are some of ya'lls favorite places to eat in the Dallas area?

Being that there are none near me now, I always hit up the closest waffle house when up there. Paris coffee shop & lucile's get good reviews. ol' south pancake house was always good. river oaks cafe, Esperanza’s.

Tortas DF a Taqueria in the side of an Exxon gas station in Lewisville on Business 121.  Totally awesome.

Get the green and the red sauce.

We stopped by there one morning after we ate at Barbecs, I was underwhelmed. It was not the experience we were looking for. Barbecs is good if you like that 1970's decor. Good place to people watch.

If you come further south on Buckner, Circle G Grill is a good second to Barbecs. More diner style eating. We eat there quite a bit after church on Sundays.

Yep. 50 years of cigarette smoke and grease. Best old fashion breakfast around.

North Dallas/Richardson the Crossroads Diner is hard to beat. Best sticky bun around and their pork products are out of this world.

Bill smiths cafe in McKinney.  If you go on a Saturday show up after 9:30 or good luck getting a seat.   It's always booked but that's your best shot.  Or a weekday.

Any taqueria where you see fat Mexican dudes piling out of a work truck. If they are skinny then keep going.

A little late to the game here, but surprised nobody mentioned Circle Grill (Buckner @ I30).  Good stuff all day long.

McDonald's....
#15 - (2 burritos and hash browns with a large drink) $5

I like the breakfast at what was the Intercontinental in Addison (I think), on Sundays. More than $5.

Yep. I didn't realize Oasis had been there that long.

Never been to Shuck N Jive. I'm partial to Aw Shucks a little ways down Greenville.

Since we're talking about that area, gotta give a shout out to Piggie Pies Pizza

Zenzero in Coppell.  Great breakfast & brunch.  The woman that owns the place can cook up a storm.  The cuban cheeseburger is awesome.

I just downed one of these with 4 cups of coffee:

Loaded Chicken Biscuit
Boneless, skinless fried chicken breast on a flaky biscuit, topped with an over-medium egg, chopped bacon and honey butter.
Served with a side of house-made potatoes.

That was when "the village" was the cool place to live. I don't remember piggies pies. Shuck n Jive is long gone from that location, and their north Dallas location as well. That area is dangerous these days. The area made "First 48" shows many times.
