The rear drive shaft fell out of my 72 GMC pickup yesterday while driving. The previous owner had rigged it somehow, and the rear shaft was only engaged with about 1" of the 6-7" spline from the front shaft that comes through the carrier bearing. So it looks like either the rear shaft is too short, or the yoke on the end of it is too short.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a good driveline / drive shaft place in Dallas? Good quality, decent price? I'm in the Plano area.

Thanks for the recommendations. I called but the guy couldn't speak English well, and even with my knowing some Spanish and explaining over and over again, I couldn't get him to understand the problem or give me an answer about what I was asking

There is a 4wheel drive shop,N.W. corner of 75 and 15th.Street.,Plano.
That,or the off road shop on Plano Rd. and 635.
Most do drive line work.
I think Driveshaft King is in Dallas, but not for sure.

Me, i would take a tape measure, and go to the junkyard.....
