Five Guys - Not bad but too expensive IMO to go on a regular basis. I'd only go there if it was the most convenient.
P.Terry's - On the smaller side and not the best but definitely the best value (cheeseburger combo is less than $6). Reminds me of a nicer version of Short Stop.
Mighty Fine - Part of the Rudy's BBQ family, they have cleanliness and customer service down pat. Quality food but too expensive to eat their regularly. Their fries always seem like the bottom of the bag tiny pieces too.
Dan's - Probably my favorite. When my grease low level light is on and I have a major burger craving nothing satisfies IMO like Dan's. I have not been their since they remodeled.
Top Notch - Good food with more than just burgers on the menu. I like how the new owners left the place alone and didn't try to reinvent an icon. That's what I like about that burger joint, I get older but it stays the same.
Hut's - I work close by and eat lunch there occasionally. Decent food.
Dirty Martin's - A great greasy burger joint with more than just burgers on the menu. I love their dirty nachos.
Fuddrucker's - I like being able to get my fixin's myself and I like their burger buns. Plus a side of jalapeno cheese for the fries.
In-N-Out - I haven't ever tried them. A new one is being built on S.Lamar so I will have to try it soon.
Whataburger - Good for fast food. I love their ketchup. In fact most other places would get bumped up a notch if they served Whataburger ketchup.
I haven't ever been to any of the "gourmet" burger places like Hopdoddy, Shake Shack, etc. I see lines out the door at those places but I can't tell if they are that good or just hipster gathering spots. In any case don't really care for fancy gourmet burgers and I hate having to wait in line at a restaurant. I'd rather have a simple burger from a greasy spoon kind of place anyday.
