Welcome to Texas! I grew up around Trinity/Huntsville, there is some pretty property around Palestine / Bullard / Lufkin. I would avoid Crockett, Corrigan, Woodville corridor for the most part.

Stay far away from chain restaraunts. Find some local flavor. You should check out the shop in canton.
Edit, I believe the AR15.com store is open this weekend in canton. It is a bit of a drive north but worth it . |
