Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom is at the Frontiers of flight Museum this weekend. We are battling the weather where flights are concerned but walk through tours of the B-17/B-24 go on. If we can get some weather we'll be offering flights in our Viet Nam veteran UH-1E Huey.

Awesome, I wish I was closer! I was able to tour the B-24 and B-17 a couple years ago when you guys were in Lubbock but sadly I could not afford a flight in either...
For those in the area, definitely go see these planes, they are flying museums! You never know how much longer these planes will be in the air and offering flights |

Looks like better weather today, should be doing rides on the UH-1 all day.
The bombers and Mustang will be heading back to Lubbock Monday in two weeks. Thanks for your support ! |

I did the B24 flight last year in Denton. I couldn't wipe the grin off my face for 24 hours.

We are off to Conroe tomorrow. Ellington Wednesday and College Station on Friday for next weekend. For those who came out today, thanks for your support. 17 Huey flights today ! |

It is good to see the Vietnam era Huey. Nothing worse that seeing a Vietnam movie with a twin engine Huey in it.

The College Station aircraft will be the B-17, B-24, TP-51C, and the UH-1E.
The UH-1 was featured in the Blake Shelton/Pepsi half time commercial. It was shot on the USS Lexington. |

The aircraft will leave Conroe approx 12:00. tomorrow with arrival EFD around 1:00. The Huey is home as of this afternoon, we had things to do prior to the bomber arrival.

The fleet is together at Ellington and will be on display all day Thursday and half of Friday. We move to College Station Friday afternoon.
We're going to do at least 3 spots on FOX 26 Houston in the morning. 7:00 hour, 8:00 hour and 9:00 hour. |

Damn can't believe I missed been wanting to fly on the Huey for years now. Last year I finally made it out and of course it couldn't fly for a maintenance issue. Is there only one visit to dfw?

Just north of 10 and wallisvile. 25 and 17 flew over, looking good!! As noisy as it is, heard them before I could see them.
