Moved to the area last year and would appreciate it if someone would share any info on where I could go Varmint shooting (excluding paying $300+ to an Outfitter).

Long time reader of the forum, since 2009, but never could register since they don't like Yahoo or Gmail accts.  Bring on the standard 16'er crap to get it over with!

Good P-Dog shooting areas are hard to come by especially on public land unless you get pretty far off the beaten path and most won't share were they go. Your best bet is to drive around and look for P-Dog towns on private land then approach the land owner. Bringing a young kid or an elderly friend / relative can be in your favor. You can try by Burns/Carpenter or Chalk bluffs area to the south and east or north west by Horse Creek. You could head out on 85 towards Torrington and also check out  Albin, LaGrange, Yoder.etc....

Thank you for the suggestions.  Asking people where to shoot around here feels like asking for their secret fishing hole or something
