Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone chase redfish at Grand Isle?

Heading to Louisiana for my annual redfish trip next week.
Usually fish out on Venice Marina, but I'm considering moving over to Grand Isle as the Mississippi looks like "chocolate milk" from recent reports.

I would really apprciate any information about fishing on GI.

Go to the Louisiana Sportsman website. They keep this kind of stuff updated pretty good.  I make a trip or two back home every summer and I use this website to keep up with conditions.

Next month you can catch them on the side of La1 at the Fourchon road. Also the pits on the west side of La1 before you get to the Fourchon road. That's if it's still the same as it used to be.

It's been about 15 years since I've been back to G I but we still have a camp there.
