I had a conversation with FRB today about what the reasonable timeframe would be on renewal LTCs which are not subject to an in person interview. The representative said to expect a 90-120 day turn-around. In other words figure 3-4 months. This is slightly shorter than 5-6 months that most of us experienced in the past (my initial issue was 7 and my previous renewals have averaged about 5) , but it is important to keep in mind that we will still expect a considerable wait. In other words, make sure that you send your applications in early to avoid potential lapse periods.

Thats Massachusetts at its finest.

They did away with the yearly trip to Chelsea for renewals, now you need to go for the initial application and every 6 years after. The wait time still sucks but at least its a step in the right direction.
