Does anyone have any experience with taking a train out of the Nice airport?

Will be flying into the Nice airport and need to get the Gare de Nice Ville station.

The airport website isn't the most informative.  Is it walking distance to the station or does one have to take a shuttle?

It about 4 miles, too far to walk. Public transportation sucks, I'd take a cab via the M6098/Promenade des Anglais expressway. About a 10 minute ride.

No experience myself. But here's what I found on the airport's site:

There are two shuttles. Looks like what you want is shuttle 99 to Nice's main train station.
