In case you didn't already find the info you seek:
You will need a signed title and bill of sale with mileage declaration. You will have to get it smog checked (if it's >5 years old) and bring the certificate with you to the MVD with your proof of insurance. They will do a VIN inspection and check your mileage at the MVD. All of this is supposed to be done within 30 days of the vehicle entering the state. ETA: The bolded assumes you are in Bernalillo County |
