I've seen the notice about Hamburg Bend being closed to target shooting.  In trying to find more information, I've only seen the same thing posted verbatim other places.  

So is target shooting only prohibited within 100 yards of the parking lot, or as other sites say, at that WMA altogether?  

Are there other WMAs within driving distance (~an hour) that allow target shooting?  I've hunted at Tobacco Island and last time I was there I saw signs prohibiting it.

Why they don't just make a shooting area with a good backstop is beyond me.
