Sidney has Cabelas. That's all I know. Lots of empty land. Lots of cows. Everyone likes guns, I think.

Your not to far from Cheyenne or Denver if you need to a break from the small town life. I don't think you have much to worry about with crime but the winter time weather difference from AZ might throw you for a loop.
What all are you looking to do employment wise? Cabelas is probably the largest employer. With their future up in the air I don't know if I would count on that. http://www.city-data.com/city/Sidney-Nebraska.html |

There have been a number of article in the Omaha paper about Cabela's future. Do your homework before moving. There is nothing else in Sidney if things go south. |

I believe the factory that use to make copper wire just shut down as well. If Cabelas gets bought out who knows how many if any jobs would remain there. It would be a pretty big blow to the local economy. |
