yep you guys are boring. today i scouted several acres of land and checked the cameras. i found absolutely zero mt lion signs but i did find two raccoon heads, a deer leg and a catfish head... all scattered around a main game trail. i saw a metric ton of coyote and rabbit tracks and two bald eagles flying around. not much else. any idea why two raccoons would have their heads ripped off?
after walking around a lot, i paused and shot some rounds and broke in my suppressors. ahh it was good, cold but good. |

when i was back scouting, i put a trail camera over a well traveled area and put out some trapping lure and baits. in a month or two i'll check it and we'll see who/what stops by for a look.

I can tell you that they are not taking applications at this time which leads me to believe they are full. I do know NSP is also running another camp once the one that started this week finishes. So they should be opening hiring back up shortly. |

I went out last Saturday. Had to try a heavier buffer in my 11.5". With a carbine buffer it was going full auto when I ran it suppressed.
I think the bolt carrier was moving faster than the trigger could reset.It's still overgassed with an H2 but at least it's not going to bring the ATF down on me. I might need to look into an adjustable gas block. |
