There is a road out to the south end of island, missile launch complex, and a really nice sandy beach, looks directly out across the pacific ocean at Hawaii..
Called 'Fossil Beach' the local kids will be surfing, older folks picnic lunch, etc. You can see old bones sticking out here and there. |

Man, I left yesterday. Ate at Henry's, the Powerhouse, Noodles, Sparrow's Pizza, had Liquid Sunshine at Kodiak Brewery. Tried to have steak at the Rendezvous, settled for a halibut burger. Climbed to the first peak on Barometer Mountain. Met ArfCom member 'oldmikey'. Would have loved to gone fishing and more hiking, but it was a work visit and not vacation.

Sounds like you had a well rounded experience while you were here. Make sure you give us a heads up when/if you come back so we can do it right for you. Did you hit Bernie's bar , Tony's bar ....the Village bar? A few of the local attractions. Also ... did you see the stop light ... its only a couple years old.
