Hey guys, My daughter is going to do an engineering co-op in Sioux Falls this summer. Are there places to avoid? Interesting things to do? I appreciate any info.

LOL. Hey, wait a.....

Seriously though, Sioux Falls is very safe. Normal common sense city behavior and she'll be fine.

As stated before there aren't very many bad places around Sioux Falls...She'll have to check out Falls Park if she hasn't been before.  Who is she doing the internship with?

I'm not sure of the company name. She will be working with bio-fuels.

99% sure it's with POET in that case.  I know a few people who had internships there, or currently work full time as engineers there.

I've heard they're a great company to work for.

I believe that's the company. Thought it was a weird name for a bio-fuel company.

It was originally called Broin, the last name of the 3 brothers who founded it. Awhile ago one (Jeff) bought the shares of the other two and took it public, changing the name.

Took my daughter last weekend. Nice town. Ran on the bike trail. Went downtown for some food and beers. Hiked a small state park "Good Earth". Had 4 ticks on me!

Only place that smelled to me was down by the sewer plant.
