So far, so good.... Until the Tigers goto the bullpen.

tigers for the most part were not swinging at everything Felix threw, they were doing like everyone does to us, wear'em down and get to the bullpen

The Tigers have been taking flyers on struggling star pitchers hoping to get free superstar. Joba, Jihnson, Hanrahan. Joba worked out so that's their gimme for the season.

Get 2 ahead in extra innings, and let Nathan close?

I HATE the feeling I get when he or Coke takes the mound.
It ruins the fun of coming from behind, and getting ahead.

TB sucks but they don't suck enough to turn Nathan into a door slammer.

KC lost tonight and they're off tomorrow. With a win tomorrow the Tigers would be a .5 game back heading into Minnesota.

hopefully Price will be on his game this afternoon, Ricky P, was great last night, 3rd complete game this year, they should slide him up to #1 or #2 on the pitching staff,

#2 would work with Sanchez on the D.L. and JV pitching like a High School JV

Price throws a 1 hitter, gives up an unearned run and takes the loss.

Romine. Better pitcher than infielder. He just sucks at pitching.

Where's Danny Worth and his knuckleball when he's needed?

20-6.
Against a suckfest Twins, and the wildcard slot jusp plopped into the septic tank.

Way to go Dumbrowski!! We got David Price!! Wooohoo!!

Why not?

Might as well, as he can't screw things up worse, and he was cheap.

Winning dosn't matter. There are going to be no playoffs, and no world series. This season was over weeks ago when Price was signed, and next year as well.

The Tigers are a cash cow, and they are profitable without winning, thanks to the draw of Miggy, JV, Max, and Price.
Dombrowski is holding the line he was hired to hold. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well Buck? Farmer? Belongs on the farm. No business pitching in the majors. Maybe he can pitch hay better. Pretty evident his last outing was a fluke.

It's sad that this is all this organization is able to put on the mound today.

Also Rod and Mario suck as bad as this team.

I feel bad for these kids. There is no way they should be put into these situations.

Contrary to what most think I still think we will pull the division out but we have to count on starting pitching to
do it. If not it will be an early end.......

Me too.

Farmer actually looks like he might have decent stuff one day, with a bit more seasoning, but he's clearly over his head at the pro level today.

The Kid is still shitting Gerber products. Cut him a Huss.
He did damn well in the last game, and did OK until his mental game broke down and he got slapped.

What a difference.

JV holds his own, the Bats wake up, and the crew gets fired up with a win.

Castellanos is holding this bunch together though.
The kid is getting key hits when they are needed, and when the big names aren't producing.
10 Bucks says Dumbrowski trades him for a washed up reliever in the off season.

The beatings that Robbie Ray and Buck Farmer took don't concern me. These are young players who belong in the minors learning how to pitch in the big leagues. Not at all worried about them.

What bothers me is that the bullpen went completely to shit behind them. Blaine Hardy and (dare I say it) Phil Coke pitched well, the Tigers got back in the game, one run down...and then Jim Johnson and Ian Krol gave up a 9 run inning. That's not good.

Victor is a BEAST!

He is the most focused batter in the league with men on base.

Detroit 7 Min 3

Still scared as shit because the game is going to be handed off to the bullpen.

Agreed.
Maybe an accelerated curve, and set him up with a heavy rotation in Toledo, and some off season Ball in Mexico, followed by another look see next spring.
Next year, maybe..
