Anybody shoot on undeveloped TVA land?

From what I've found out, this is perfectly legal, if you have a good backstop and clean up after your self.

ETA: Title change.  Undeveloped, not unincorporated.

This is on TVA land this weekend.

It's mostly privately owned so you must have landowner permission.

TVA owns very little land.

"TVA originally acquired approximately 1.3 million acres of land in the Tennessee Valley. The construction and operation of the reservoir system inundated approximately 470,000 acres with water. TVA has already transferred or sold approximately 508,000 acres, the majority of which was transferred to other federal and state agencies for public uses."

TVA owns the land that the Blue and Gray R&P club shoot on.  It's about mile north of the Guntersville Dam in AL.  All I got.

What do you mean by unicorporaed TVA land?

TVA federal land not in a city?

You need to stay away from posted federal facilities.  

You would probably do best to just find somewhere else.

My neighbors in NM owned 40k and 60k acres each.  

In the SE that is a lot of land.

Maybe they'll let OP run out there and shoot on it.

Please note, however, that hunting is prohibited on other TVA lands—such as TVA dam reservations, power plant reservations, power substations and developed recreation areas (such as campgrounds and day-use areas)—unless otherwise posted.
   Possession and use of firearms and other weapons are permissible on undeveloped TVA public lands subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, unless otherwise posted. They don't come right out and SAY target shooting is allowed, but that bold part seems to imply they are OK with it.  I've just recently had a Hardin County Deputy tell me it's fine to shoot on TVA land, as long as you have a good back stop.
