Hi all

I'm driving out to St George this coming Sunday/Monday to pick up a dog, but I wanted to break the drive up and camp somewhere.

Can anyone suggest a good primitive drive-to camping spot in the NF east of Salina?

Is NF supposed to be NE?

If you can make it work I would suggest camping at or near Fish Lake. Beautiful area and the Fish Haven lodge has great food.

By NF, I meant National Forest east of Salina

I don't want to stray too far from 70 as this is a pretty quick trip I'm on

I see. I'm not familiar with any spots around there. Good luck.

There is a pretty active site called Bogley.com you may have some luck on.

The Gooseberry area would probably be your best bet. Not far up the canyon from Salina but I don't know exactly the exit. Its been a few years since I was there. Part of the Paiute ATV trail runs through there if that helps narrow down the area.
