I went and watched the demolition this morning.
It was kind of sad. I know they no longer served a real purpose, but with the new
hospital expansion and the removal of the smokestacks, Provo's "skyline" just won't be the same.

What's the deal with building hospitals on smoke stack sites?

The hospital has been expanding on their current location, not where the stacks were.  Provo demolished their old power plant, and has been building a new facility in its place.
