It is probably less expensive to buy a factory threaded barrel for a 10/22 than it would be to have your barrel properly threaded.
Not sure about the MKII |

It's a bit of a drive, but Cross Canyon Arms up in Ogden profiled and threaded my Remington 700 barrel that I was very happy with. I have referred a couple friends there as well with similar results.
$125 to thread the barrel and the turn around was a couple weeks, but they did more than just thread the barrel. |

Vector Arms has threaded barrels for me in the past, they're good and cheap. I wouldn't thread a 10/22 barrel though, that's just dumb IMO because you can buy a threaded barrel for like a hundred bucks.

For what it would cost to thread, I'd just sell your current 10/22 if you don't have a ton of money in it and buy a new takedown 10/22 or even a S&W 15/22 for probably a little cheaper. I have a factory threaded takedown 10/22, it's a nice rifle.
