Curious about this myself. Have heard both, use a lawyer and some people say it is not needed, save your money for toys. I am thinking of building a SBR towards the end of the year and am starting to research the how to's, so consider this a tag for further info

He did meet with me after drafting the documents to go over everything, sign the forms and notarize them. I don't recall what I paid but it was more than the $100 listed on that website. The benefit with him is I know it was written with UT law in mind and I have easy access to him if I need to make changes or have questions. |

IANYL, but follow medicmandan's advice and use a local attorney who has done these before. An NFA trust is not complicated and you absolutely have the legal ability to create your own trust. You're not paying the attorney so much for the filling in the blanks on the trust, but rather for knowing the right questions to ask you and any changes to make for your particular situation.
