So, I moved here a couple months ago from Ohio, and I'm a halfway competent duck hunter. However, I don't know the areas here very well, and I don't really know anyone to go with around my age (23). The idea of going into an unfamiliar marsh alone and flooding my waders is unappealing to me.

So, does anyone want to go duck hunting with me? I'm not asking for your secret honey holes. I have all the gear I need, and even a small alumacraft (no mud motor though ) I also cook some mean duck bites. And I love imitation crab meat and model trains.

Hell, we could even make this a hometown get together with enough interest. I live in Ogden, but im willing to drive a bit to get on some ducks.

I tried to get a hunting license (I'm from Florida) and they wouldn't recognize my hunter's safety so they told me I had to take it again before I could buy a Utah license. Lame. Otherwise,  I'd gladly go.
I don't have a true duck gun. My 12's are military 18.5" barrel jobs, so I probably wouldn't even shoot.

As far as model trains, there's a show in Salt Lake beginning of Nov. but I heard the Ogden show is the big one at the Union Station. I'm looking for a G-Scale Union Pacific loco and ore car, so I'll probably make it out.

That's bull, who told you that?  I went down to DWR's main office in SLC and paid the 10 dollars to get a Utah hunter safety card.

They took mine from NY, hell, my Blue card says transfer from NYS.
