My wife has family in  Salem Oregon. She really wants to move there one day. (Doesnt have to be Salem) I work in mining and that is what dictates where we can and can't move.  I would have to apply at new mines that will have to be close to where we live. So my question is, how many, if any mines are active in your state and where are they? Thanks guys.

I know a couple guys that mine recreationally in streams but nothing that would support a family. Im sure we have someone that has relevant info though.

I am not aware of mining for anything other than rocks.  We have a history of gold mining in some areas like out of Cottage Grove and in Southern Oregon but nothing commercial that I know of.
