Shane Gosa and I will be team-teaching two one-day classes during the last weekend of June in Watkinsville, GA. The classes are stand alone, but we will be teaching them in such a way that both days will build on the skills presented in the other.

June 27th: 1 Day Defensive Pistol
This is a one day class that will be spent entirely on the range. The subject matter will be a focus on concealed carry pistol techniques for the armed citizen or plain clothes officer. We will focus on presentation from the holster and weapon manipulation skills for close quarter pistol engagements. We will also be performing a 1 hour block on Weapon Retention that will familiarize students with techniques available for use when the bad guy has a hand on their gun or they experience a malfunction during a fight over the gun itself. The course will be approximately 10 hours in length and will cost $150.00.

June 28th: Combatives Skills for Self Defense
This course is a 10 hour block of instruction on the use of empty hands and knife skills that can be used to defend yourself and innocent third parties against violent aggressors. You will learn:
- Situational awareness and avoidance techniques
- Strikes with hands, elbows, knees, and feet
- Optimal striking zones
- Protection against attacks
- Stress innoculation
- Knife selection and carry position
- Accessing the knife or firearm while under attack
- Cutting / Stabbing techniques
- Other necessary skills

The cost of the Combatives course is $200.00. Due to the heat and the physical nature of the course, we will be using a climate controlled indoor location.

Hey Clark, are these going to be in the Watkinsville area?

Yes.  The Defensive Pistol will be on the same range as the rifle course.  We will be using a climate controlled classroom for Day 2, but it will be somewhere in or around Watkinsville.

Slots are still available.  Running at about 6 students per class at the moment.  The class sizes tend to be small, so you'll have a great deal of hands on time and attention on the part of the instructors.
