I use a large amount of data on my smart phone (20-50g per month) and I need a carrier that has dependable unlimited data. I had T-mobile and their coverage sucks. While it worked great as long as you were in one of the limited areas that had 4g coverage, everywhere else was terrible. You either had full 4g lte data coverage, or  data speeds comparable to dial-up (if you had any at all!) and even voice coverage was spotty in places on major highways and interstates. I dropped T-mobile when I took off work when i recently had surgery. Seeing how I was going to be around wifi and didn't need to have the $100 per month expense, I cancelled my service with them and have just been using a burner phone.

But life is back to normal now and and the pre-pay data limits on the burner phone just ain't cutting it any longer.

After doing some research,  the ONLY wireless service that I've found that has unlimited data available as a plan these days are T-mobile and Boost Mobile. Well I know all about T-mobile, but does anybody have any good things to say about Boost Mobile? From what i can find, they use Verizon's towers for their service. If that's the case then Boost Mobile is a no brainer! I also read that they throttle data use down to 2g after you reach a certain monthly limit. But that's ok, we've got ways around that.

So what are y'alls opinion on Boost Mobile? Is there another carrier that I'm missing that also has unlimited data and a good coverage area?

And to those out there that are lucky enough to still have Verizon's unlimited data, well y'all can kiss my foot!

I had Straight talk confused with boost mobile! I don't know why I was thinking boost uses Verizons towers when I meant straight talk.

I just looked at boost mobile's coverage map and it's worse than T-mobile.

Looks like straight talk is going to be the way to go. From what I can tell they do use verizon's network but are limited to 3g only and not 4g lte.

I just looked at them and they seem to have pretty good coverage according to their map. They're kinda high on the price. A Samsung note 3 with unlimited data plan ($20 per month), insurance ($11), estimated taxes $53.90 , with a total monthly bill of $115.17

Yeah I figured that. But I wanted to know about their service. 3G speed or the 4Glte. The unlocked phones on best buys site says that a new unlocked galaxy S4 only has a 3G radio in it.

I haven't looked into them yet because I didn't think there service would work once you got outside of the suburbs.

I'm not to worried about the throttling of data speed just as long as it works to stream  music and lets surf arf.

From what I can tell comparing coverage maps between virgin mobile and sprint's are identical.

Whatever carrier I end up with I'll have either a galaxy note 3 or galaxy s5.

The galaxy line of phones are pretty damn good imho. I've never had a programming issue with my note 2 in the 2 years I've been using it. Can't beat the oversized screen for using the Internet and watching movies.

I've just been hoping that Verizon won't be out done by 'smaller' companies and there unlimited data.  If they went back to unlimited data like before they would just about put Tmobile, spint, and at&t out of business. Everyone knows Verizon has the best coverage in the state.
