Mommas been in hospice since Friday.

We don't know how long she has left with us.

Guys, tell your loves ones how much you love and care about them. I moved away from home when I was 21 and haven't visited as much as I should've. Now I feel bad for not spending more time with her

My mother passed in 2008, the only thing harder is to have a child pass away before their parents.

Our prayers are with you and your family.

Depending on the illness, there can be a time of very clear lucidness a day or two before its their time. If this hasn't happened yet, try to spend as much time as you can with your mother so if it happens, you don't miss that as it can be important for closure to both her and you. When this happened with our mother, my sister thought our mother was well all of a sudden and shouldn't be in hospice, but the doctor and head nurse said I had a day or two to make final plans. Mom passed three days later.

The doctors I know call it The Surge as your body gives it one last go at 1000%. My Dad's lasted for almost two full days and we had some really great conversations. Unfortunately, it ended all too suddenly.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...........I fear this happening in my life as I see my 85 year old parents every day at work.....they are fine but I know it is coming....I hope I can handle it with the same grace that you seem to be.

Wow, bro. Thoughts and prayers. We had a recent bad episode with my dad. All better now, but not perfect.

Life is short and precious for sure. Can't change the past, so don't waste that precious current time in the past! Your mother knows your heart.
