I've done loads of research on comparing the two, and while I still haven't purchased it I would go with the Dillon xl650 over the hornady. Sure it's more up front, but everything I've read in 2+ years leads me to believe if I got the hornady I would have a Dillon soon after. YMMV

Hey, never said the LNL wasn't a good press. And if you should happen to move to a blue press later, the Hornady could still serve a purpose for certain loads or leaving it set up for a certain caliber. Let us know how you like it though may change some minds, including mine.

I only plan on loading .223 on it for now. I been using an old Lee single and that has worked ok, but now I want to try something new.

Don't know if this will reach out to 1000 yards, but here is my last build. It sports a Noveske Recon barrel.  I also picked up a Leupold Mark 6 1-6x20mm with the CMR-W reticle.  I probaly need a better optic for 1000 yard shooting.

Where do you fire a 1,000-yard rifle in GA? North GA to be specific.

Yep
Awesome range and good folks.

I took the nickel tour when they first started building the pit. It was blazing hot that summer.

Could have gotten the Dillion RL550B for less or the 650 for a hundred more. Doesn't BPS have a liberal return policy?

But if you are keeping the Hornady, don't forget the Free Offer and redeem it for the free 500 bullets!

I think I'll keep it. I can always get a Dillon later if this don't work out.

Yeah but the dillon 550 lacks basic automation of the shell plate. It's taking a step back from 40 years of innovation.

The 650 and the hornady are both good and I use both.  The hornady is great for loading multiple calibers economically.  The 650 I leave setup in one caliber and seems to just work better with a case feed
