Heading down Thursday night and was planing on going to Statesville and heading back up 21 into VA and home.

I've never traveled on 21 before and was wondering if food and a hotel are easy to get by just winging it or should I book a room.

Is route 21 a slow moving single winding road or a bit more open?

Anyone ever do this sale?

Seem worth it?
