I'm moving to the Charlotte area in two weeks. Seems like there is little to no USPSA shooting in the area. I asked a counter person a one of the Charlotte guns stores and he referred to Charlotte as the Black Hole of USPSA and said IDPA is far more popular.

I've seen that Hawkeye gun club holds some matches, but does anyone else? Here on Long Island you can shoot a match every weekend. I would like to shoot at least once or twice a month.

Check the calender at Triangle Tactical.  Most of the outdoor USPSA matches are about 30-40 minutes away from Charlotte

Rowan County Wildlife Club is hosting the sectional in September, they do a regular monthly match as well. It's not far.

I believe there are also some indoor matches in the area around Lake Norman, not sure if they're sanctioned.

Unfortunately something happened to the Statesville match, I got interested too late, but I hear they put on a hell of a match, currently looking for a new range.

Someone tried at PHA, but there was some miscommunication and I kinda doubt another attempt will be made there. They do have a nice unsanctioned pistol match, but it sure ain't USPSA.

Spartanburg, SC isn't too far away, they do two a month. Blackstock, in York, SC isn't either, not sure what sort of schedule they run.

The indoor range at Blackstone is starting up a weeknight USPSA match in August. Think the first match is 9 August

Spartanburg and Hawkeye both put on pretty good matches. I shoot most matches at Hawkeye, so if you decide to try it out, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to give you directions, show you the ropes, etc. It would be about an hour and a half drive from Charlotte

Hawkeye is also hosting a charity match in October with a decent prize table. It's strictly a "fun" match with no classifiers and always has good stages. Registration for it is already open on Practiscore if you're interested.

We do a USPSA match every third Saturday. We're roughly an hour and a half away though but we do get a lot of people from raliegh and Charlotte. The match fills up quick so you need to get signed up early.

I was shooting at the CSOS match, every third Sunday just north of Mooresville, but I haven't been in about a year now
