We are going to a match near Sanford in a couple of weeks. Can you guys give me a briefing on what I can and can do as far as traveling with pistols/ar in my truck? TIA.

Do you have a carry permit? If so then the handguns are fine however you want them but we do have duty to inform.

Without a permit firearms must either be plainly visible, or beyond easy access to the occupants of the vehicle, locks such as a locked console or glovebox do not constitute an impediment to easy access, only handguns are covered by a carry permit in NC.
