A friend lives in St. Louis area and is looking for a gun shop. He wants a used sig 229 in stainless.

Any recommendations for him to go? Thanks.

Hey Jeep....do you know which area he is in?  Is he by 70, 40, 44, 55, 170 (all of these touch on the 270 loop)...etc.  How far does he want to drive...etc.  Need to know a little better where he is at.  He can look up FFL's here:  https://www.atf.gov/firearms/listing-federal-firearms-licensees-ffls-2016

I don't know exactly where he lives but he will drive wherever in the area to go somewhere that will treat him right. Hell, his barber is a black barber shop in Ferguson he drives 45 mins to go to. He is the first appointment of the day that way he can get his white ass out of there.

I would recommend Dunn's Sporting Goods down in Pevely - They've done me well down there and are very competitive price-wise.

Tell him to call Ben at Cedar Falls Tactical and ask him if he can get one for him....
Like most dealers he has access to several distributors and other dealer networks that  may have one in stock..
Phone: (573) 756-0100
Address: 3519 Cedar Falls Rd A, Bonne Terre, MO 63628

Its a bit of a drive, but he is a good guy...   I used to drive down from St. Louis every time I needed/wanted something...

You never know what other cool stuff you mind find in there. Or what else he might have going on...

I haven't been in there in awhile, but I know that Top Gun in Arnold had a decent amount of Sigs.

OP send him here,  they are the largest SIG dealer in St. Louis. Their entire gun wall is nothing but SIGs and Glocks.

Ultimate Defense in St. Peters ----   http://udrange.com/

Honestly though, if he's looking for a used stainless 229, that's gonna be a bitch to find as 99% of the used 229s you are gonna find are gonna be police turn ins.   Now a new one, that's something Ultimate Defense would have or could easily get in a matter of days.

For used my go to places are Mikes Guns, Dunn's, and Denny Dennis.  Stock varies weekly.

I'm in H&H Guns in Warrenton right now, and there is one here, but it is new.

Yeah, number 1 pick for St. Charles area gun shops amongst Floridians...
Ok, so I live in the StL are for a few decades, still the first gunshops I would visit if I ever came back.
(Used to be Mike's Guns, he sold it and opened up the payday loan place next door, something about profit margins.)

I haven't been in Mike's Guns in a while.  When did he sell it?
