Back in the early 70's there were some great pawn shops and gun shops around. Could find a lot of great double shotguns and WalMart would sell Ruger Hawkeyes for $79.00 and Super Blackhawks for $119.00.   We would walk the train tracks out of town and scare up quail, about 15-20 birds per covey.  Not anymore, unfortunately.  Fishing Turkey Creek for bass, catfish and carp was fun.  Swimming at Oronogo and diving off the cliffs was a blast as well.  Those were good times.
