...they aren't as cool as you guys, and didn't have much input (well, none.).

Building a 10.5" .300 Blk pistol.

Saw a video on Youtube of the Spikes Barking Spider 2 muzzle brake and flash hider.  Thought it was a really neat piece.

Tried to find more information on muzzle brakes/flash hiders for .300 Blk pistols, but there's really no quantitative information out there.

What I liked about the Spike's BS2 was that it directed concussion and noise down range, as opposed to those to your sides.

Then I started searching on "Linear Muzzle Brakes" because that, from what I can ascertain, is what the BS2 is.

So, for my question... What muzzle brake/flash hider do you like on your 10.5" SBR or pistols for .300 Blk?

I went with an AAC brakeout, but only because I bought the matching AAC suppressor that screws on to it. The appeal of 300 Blackout to me is suppression and how quiet it is when running subs. Everyone always smiles when they shoot it because of how quiet it is

I agree, but I don't live in a free state, for the time being.

Looking at the Brakeout (1.0 and 2.0), it appears to direct the blast to the sides, which won't do much for me since I don't want the side concussion/noise.  I do, however, thank you for your prompt response!

I did find this page:  http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/11/jeremy-s/556-muzzle-device-shootout/

But I don't know if it's apples to oranges or not since the review is on 5.56, not .300 blk.  There's also really no linear comps, even though I found that link when searching on linear muzzle brakes.

I was thinking more along the lines of something like this:  http://vtsupply.com/cqb-comp-5-56-223-ar-15-close-quarters-battle-flash-hider.html

I use the Kaw Valley Precision linear comp. Very happy with it and a whole lot cheaper than the "big guys". Also on a 10.5" 300BLK.

I like the slim KAK flash can on my 7.5 7.62x39. Works as advertised for me.

JT, what was the source that I got my flaming pig knock-off from?  I thought it was something like MS Defense, but I didn't get any Google hits.
