A member here got a Form 1 approved (e File) in SEVENTEEN DAYS!
He will probably add to this thread. |

Submitted mine around 4pm Sunday. I expect to put a stock on my pistol by the end of the month. Watching NFA Tracker, paper forms are speeding up too, and I am cautiously hopeful to have my can out of SUB_MG_JAIL by the end of the year.

That member...would be me. Got my form back in 17 days.
I was however bested by someone who got theirs back in 14 days. Oh well! Time to send the PS90 barrel off to get chopped! My last form, took 30. Two SBR's pretty much instantly. This is bad to say, but I am glad Form 4's arent up. I would be bankrupt. |

Trust/LLC or Individual? And were these applications e-filed or USPS-filed?

Quoted:
Trust/LLC or Individual? View Quote It had to be trust or LLC since it was e-filed (see OP). However, I'm also curious if they are processing frequent filers faster than first-time users. Derek1387, if you don't mind, have you recently had a form approved? Maybe they may have an "express lane" for filers who just recently had a form approved. It would make sense to not do the full check (whatever they do) on a filer that was recently approved for another form. I'm just speculating of course. |

Can you order a SBR PS90 direct from FN?? Or do you have to buy the standard length then get a barrel from someone else?
Also, what kind of optics are you going with? Are the factory ones any good, or do you just go with a rail and get your own? Sorry for all the questions......I've always wanted one of these and this sparked my interest again. |

View Quote No, FN unfortunately in NOT NFA "Friendly". USED P90 barrels have brought as much as $800.00 The best way to do this is to send your PS90 barrel to TROS, Mark McWillis does OUTSTANDING work on PS90's. To date he has cut more than 500 barrels down and properly threaded them. He is reasonable and fairly quick. As to optics, I'm partial to what the pics I posted have. A TROS Aimpoint mount and your choice of an M3, Aimpoint Pro or one of the similar Aimpoint's (M2, ML3, etc) Don't make the same mistake I did and try going out and purchasing a "low profile rail" thinking it will get your optic low enough, it won't. Look at TROS for your mount. If you look for a PS90, I would try and locate the Tri Rail as it is the lowest mount they made, Unfortunately it's no longer in production. Currently the ONLY model offered to the civilian market is the Standard. The only difference between the Standard and the L.E. Model is the L.E. comes with a 50 round mag vs a 30 round. You really need to spend quite a bit of time over at FN Forums reading the PS90 section, there is a LOT of damn good information there. |

It's kind of an abortion with the long barrel and shroud. Plus shortening the barrel to 10.4" brings it back to the "sweet spot" where it was designed to operate. The longer barrel creates a different pressure curve that on "hot" loads creates some interesting issues, popping the magazine up is the most common problem. You should also look into the mounts Mark at TROS offers, the rail that comes with the Standard is WAY too tall. |

If you look for one, keep in mind the price has came down quite a bit in the last year.
You SHOULD be able to locate one for no more than $1,100.00 I'm almost ashamed to think what I paid for mine (L.E. gets a pretty good discount), almost. |

E-Forms, no signatures from CLEO, no fingerprinting, multiple people can be on the trust, so if you have family or friends you shoot with who you want to be able to take said item without you being there, they can. And yeah, when you die, you determine what happens with the NFA items rather then them being surrendered. |
