Good. I hope the Senate makes sure this spot doesn't get filled until about Feb. of2017. I doubt that happens.
Shelby has a history of pandering to his very conservative constituents on items he knows his stance will have no effect on. I'm afraid this may be one of those times. |

Even if he's pandering, if he keeps the supreme court from tilting towards dismantling protection for fundamental rights, I'll put it down to his credit at ballot time

He has a history of taking a "conservative stand" on items he knows will pass/fail regardless of his vote and/or support. Look at the people he has confirmed since Barry's been in office. |
